They began in a rented underground room where several churches were represented. In August 1999, Zion Temple was inaugurated in Kigali with 120 members only. The church went through a rapid and spectacular growth; within five years the church has more than seven thousand members in Kigali. The blessings didn’t stop there because Zion Temple started churches in neighboring countries as well as in European countries: Arusha (Tanzania), Bujumbura (Burundi), Bukavu (Democratic Republic of Congo), Copenhagen (Denmark), London (England), Brussels (Belgium).

It is rare for an African ministry to open and fully operate in Europe in Europe. Zion Temple Churches have been the first missionary churches from Rwanda to Europe. Today Zion Temple’s reputation goes beyond the limits of Kigali and other provinces of Rwanda to Africa and Europe. When you say Zion Temple many have different views and understanding about her. Some call her unusual, and still others see her as myth. This attracted our attention and curiosity and we approached the International President of Zion Temple for interview, to learn more about Zion Temple and what is really behind this reputation.
